Description

The project was developed by Cielo Wind Power and EDF Renewables. The project is currently owned by EDF Renewables.

The project generates 650,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 60,000 households, offsetting 369,558t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $349.209m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2012.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Southwestern Public Service under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2012. The contracted capacity is 161MW.

Contractors Involved

Wanzek Construction was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 70 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewable Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2012.
