Spitalla Solar PV Park, Albania

Spitalla Solar PV Park is a 100MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Durres, Albania. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Voltalia.

Spitalla Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 121 hectares.

The project cost is expected to be around $166.57m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Operatori i Shperndarjes se Energjise Elektrike under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 70MW.

Contractors Involved

Voltalia is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
