Elektroprivreda Srbije, or the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) is a government energy company in Serbia. The company generates, distributes and transmits electricity. EPS operates, thermal, hydro, gas and liquid fuel power plants with an installed capacity of 8,359 MW. EPS operates four open pit mines to extract coal along with the processing and transportation of coal. Furthermore, EPS offers services in the areas of steam and hot water production in combined heating processes. EPS is a vertically organized company, with 11 subsidiaries and three public enterprises which include eight companies for coal and electric power generation and six for electric power distribution. EPS is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia.
