Description

The project was developed by AirSource Power and Sequoia Energy. The project is currently owned by Algonquin Power & Utilities.

The project generates 372,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 370,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $241m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors Involved

Vestas – Canadian Wind Technology is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2010, for a period of 20 years.
