The Stanground Solar PV Park – Battery Energy Storage System is a 10,000kW energy storage project located in Stanground, England, UK.
The project was announced in 2019 and will be commissioned in 2021.
The key applications of the project are renewable energy integaration and electric energy time shift.
Bouygues Energies & Services UK is the EPC contractor for the project.
Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) has unveiled plans to develop the energy projects on landfill sites in Woodston and Stanground, both near Peterborough. At Stanground, a solar farm of 2.25 Megawatts electrical generating capacity (over an 8.1 hectare site), and a battery storage system housed in two shipping containers, is proposed. The system will allow the Council to provide services to the National Grid in exchange for payments.
