Description
The project was developed by Mass Group Holding. The project is currently owned by Abu Dhabi National Energy with a stake of 33.33% and Mass Iron and Steel Industry.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from KhorMor Gas Field Station.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 2009.

Sulaymaniyah Combined Cycle Power Plant (Sulaymaniyah Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I – GT) is equipped with GE Power 9E gas turbines. The phase consists of 4 gas turbines with 125MW nameplate capacity.
Sulaymaniyah Combined Cycle Power Plant (Sulaymaniyah Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I – ST) is equipped with GE Power GE-C7 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 250MW nameplate capacity.
