Sunkoshi 2 is a 1,116MW hydro power project. It is planned on Sunkoshi river/basin in Janakpur, Nepal. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. Sunkoshi 2 is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 3,511 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 130.7m and 127.93m respectively. The penstock diameter will be 10.4m. The project is expected to generate 4,760 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $1,519.746m.
