The project is developed and owned by Taipingwan Power Plant Industrial.
Taipingwan is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 275 million cubic meter. The project generated 720 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $53.5m.

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
