Talkha Combined Cycle Power Plant II is a 750MW gas fired power project. It is located in Dakahlia, Egypt. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in August 2006.

The project was developed by East Delta Electricity Production and is currently owned by Middle Delta Electricity Production.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Peakload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Light Fuel Oil.

The project generated 5,163,000MWh of electricity. The project cost is $685.125m.

Power Engineering Services was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Siemens.

The electric generators for the project were procured from GE Power and Siemens.

John Cockerill Group supplied steam boiler for the project.

Furthermore, Doosan Heavy Industry & Construction Co and East Delta Electricity Production Company are engaged in a contract of $ 332.26 million for supply of boilers. EDEPC is headquartered in Ismailia, Egypt.
