Tamakoshi Phase III is a 200MW hydro power project. It is planned on Tamakoshi river/basin in Janakpur, Nepal. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2027.

The project is being developed by Shanghai Investigation and Design Institute, TBI Holdings and Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
Tamakoshi Phase III is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 137 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 333m. The project is expected to generate 2,340 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $500m.
The hydro power project consists of 4 units of francis turbines.
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
