Description
The project is being developed by GreenPower Morocco. The project is co-owned by AMEA Power and GreenPower Morocco, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
GPM1 Solar PV Power Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 75 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 66,149MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 19,200 households. The project is expected to offset 39,888t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Amendis under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 34MW.
