Description
Abu Dhabi National Energy, Engie and TotalEnergies are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 20% and 20% respectively.
It is a ccgt with cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Abu Dhabi Water And Electricity Company.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 2003.

The power generated from the project is sold to Emirates Water and Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 1,400MW.

Mitsubishi Power Europe was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of 9151E gas turbines, each with 100MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of 9171E gas turbines, each with 100MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of Back Pressure steam turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of Frame 9 gas turbines, each with 100MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
BORSIG supplied steam boiler for the project.
