T&D equipment contracts down 30% in November 2021

T&D equipment contracts in November 2021 saw 21 contracts announced, marking a drop of 30% over the last 12-month average of 30, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 17 contracts and an 81% share
  2. Project Implementation: three contracts and a 14.3% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 4.8% share.

Europe leads T&D equipment activity in November 2021

Comparing contracts activity in T&D equipment segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 12 contracts and a share of 57.1% during November 2021, followed by North America with five contracts and a 23.8% share and Middle East and Africa with three contracts and a 14.3% share.

Wind is leading technology for T&D equipment contracts in November 2021

Among the technologies, wind accounted for nine contracts with an 81.8% share, followed by nuclear with one contract and a 9.1% share and solar with one contract and a 9.1% share.
