The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 171 tenders and an 87.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 9.7% share
- Project Implementation: five tenders and a 2.6% share.
North America leads T&D equipment activity in January 2021
Comparing tenders activity in T&D equipment segment in different regions of the globe, North America held the top position with 78 tenders and a share of 40% during January 2021, followed by Asia-Pacific with 59 tenders and a 30.3% share and Middle East and Africa with 32 tenders and a 16.4% share.

Thermal is leading technology for T&D equipment tenders in January 2021
Among the technologies, thermal accounted for four tenders with a 66.7% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and a 33.3% share.
