Tecpatan HVDC Substation is a 500kV substation located in Tecpatan, Chiapas, Mexico.

The Tecpatan HVDC Substation project’s construction is expected to begin in 2023. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2025.

Description

Tecpatan HVDC Substation project, which is a new substation, will be operated by Comision Federal de Electricidad.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 500/400kV and the operating voltage level is 500/400kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 500kV and the step-out voltage is 400kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 1950MVA.
