Description
The project was developed by LILAMA 10 and is currently owned by Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock.
Thak-Ba is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 2,490 million cubic meter. The project generated 400 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 1964 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1971.
Contractors Involved
Ukrainian Energy Machines was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of kaplan turbines, each with 40MW nameplate capacity.
Power Machines supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 47 MVA.
