Theseus Substation is a 400kV substation located in Theseus, Western Cape, South Africa.
The Theseus Substation project’s construction has begun in 2021. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2022.
Theseus Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Eskom Holdings SOC.
The designed voltage level of the substation is 400/132kV and the operating voltage level is 400/132kV.
The step-in voltage of the project is 400kV and the step-out voltage is 132kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 1000MVA.
