The geothermal plant is of double flash type. The geothermal site has in total 33 number of wells. Out of this 27 are production wells and remaining 6 are injection wells.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Tongonan 1 is sold to Manila Electric under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.1kWh for a period of 5.00 years, starting from 2019.
Contractors Involved
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the geothermal power project. The geothermal power project consists of 3 turbines. Energy Development, is the steam raising contractor for the project.
