M. A. Mortenson and Wanzek Construction were selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Top of Iowa (Top of Iowa I) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems NM 52/900 turbines. The phase consists of 89 turbines with 0.9MW nameplate capacity.
Top of Iowa (Top of Iowa II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G87-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 40 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Top of Iowa (Top of Iowa III) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V82-1.65 MW turbines. The phase consists of 18 turbines with 1.65MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the Top of Iowa (Top of Iowa I). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2001, for a period of 5 years.
