Trishli I is a 216MW hydro power project. It is planned on Trisuli river/basin in Bagmati, Nepal. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Description

The project is being developed by Nepal Water & Energy Development. Korea South-East Power, DL, International Finance and Kyeryong Construction Industrial are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 52%, 16%, 12% and 10% respectively.

Trishli I is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 340.89m and 333.41m respectively. The penstock length will be 110.7m. The project is expected to generate 1,533 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $647.4m.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years.

Contractors Involved

DL and Kyeryong Construction Industrial are expected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction will be the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company is expected to provide 3 units of francis turbines, each with 72MW nameplate capacity.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction will supply electric generator(s) for the project.

Korea South-East Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the hydro power project.
