Tsugaru Offshore Wind Power is a 480MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in Sea of Japan, Aomori, Japan. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2025 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2028.

The project is being developed by Green Power Nishitsugaru Offshore GK. Green Power Investment and Tohoku Electric Power are currently owning the project.

The project cost is expected to be around $2,289.6m. The project will be spread over an area of 46.06km².

The wind power project consists of 60 turbines, each with 8MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
