Description

The project is developed and owned by Tenaga Nasional. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in June 2005.

Mitsubishi Power was selected to render EPC services for the Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase I) project. Toshiba JSW Power Systems was selected to render EPC services for the Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase II) project.

Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power M701F gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 238.33MW nameplate capacity.

Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power Tandem Compound, Double Flow steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 257.79MW nameplate capacity.

Mitsubishi Power supplied electric generator for the Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase I).

Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase I).

Nooter/Eriksen supplied steam boiler for the Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant (Tuanku Jafaar (Port Dickson) Power Plant Phase II).
