The project is being developed by Parque Eolico Tucano, SoWiTec do Brasil Energias Alternativas and Tucano F6 Geracao de Energias. The project is currently owned by Tucano F6 Geracao de Energias with a stake of 100%.
The project cost is expected to be around $97.216m.
The Tubular Steel structure to be installed at the project site are expected to be 115m high.
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in April 2022.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Anglo American under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2022.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 8 units of SG 5.8-170 turbines, each with 6.2MW nameplate capacity.
