Tunduma – Sumbawanga Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 203km from Tunduma, Songwe, Tanzania, to Sumbawanga, Rukwa, Tanzania.
The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2023.
Tunduma – Sumbawanga Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $84.2m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
