Construction works on the Tuticorin – Salem Line started in 2015 and the project was commissioned in 2016.

Description

The Tuticorin – Salem Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by Power Grid Corporation of India. The Tuticorin – Salem Line is a new line. The line carries alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Tuticorin – Salem Line project development status

The development of the Tuticorin – Salem Line project was approved by Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2015 and the project works were completed in 2016.

Contractors involved

Hindusthan Urban Infrastructure was appointed by Power Grid Corporation of India to supply the cables for executing the 765kV Tuticorin – Salem Line.
