Uchpinda Power Plant is a 1,440MW coal fired power project. It is located in Chhattisgarh, India. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in November 2015.

The project was developed by R.K.M. Powergen. Mudajaya and R.K.Powergen Private are currently owning the project.

It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Light Diesel Oil / Heavy Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Fatehpur East Captive Coal mine.

The project cost is $1,689.08m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in November 2015.

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution, PTC India and Uttar Pradesh Power are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

Mudajaya was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Harbin Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project.

Harbin Electric supplied electric generator for the project.

China Western Power Industrial supplied steam boiler for the project.
