Description

The project is developed and owned by Udupi Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Heavy Fuel Oil / Light Distillate Oil / High Speed Diesel. The fuel is procured from Banpu, PT Adaro, Glencore.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2010.

Contractors Involved

Lanco Infratech was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Dongfang Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of Tandem Compound, Single Reheat Condensing turbines, each with 600MW nameplate capacity.
