Vemagiri II Substation is a 765/400kV substation located in Vemagiri, Andhra Pradesh, India. The construction works on Vemagiri II Substation began in 2018. The project was commissioned in 2019.


The Vemagiri II Substation project is an upgrade substation being operated by Power Grid Corporation of India.

The designed voltage level of the project is 765/400kV, while the operating voltage level is 765/400kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 765kV and the step-out voltage is 400kV. The substation capacity is 3,000MVA.

Vemagiri II Substation has received approval from Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission to undertake the works on the project.
