Viana Substation is a 400kV substation located in Viana Thermal Power Plant, Luanda, Angola.

The Viana Substation project’s construction is expected to begin in 2023. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2025.

Description

Viana Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Rede Nacional de Transporte de Electricidade.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 400/220kV and the operating voltage level is 400/220kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 400kV and the step-out voltage is 220kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 900MVA.
