Volobe HPP is a 120MW hydro power project. It is planned on Ivondro river/basin in Atsinanana, Madagascar. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by Jovena and SN Power. Jovena, SN Power, Africa50 Infrastructure Fund and Colas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 25%, 25% and 10% respectively.

Volobe HPP is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project will be 136m. The project is expected to generate 750 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $371.72m.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Contractors Involved
