Additional information

The project is a part of Voltalia’s “Mana storage” project which consists of two 5 MW battery storage units. The project will be used for daily arbitrage; storing abundant and cheap electricity produced in the middle of the day and releasing it during peak consumption in the evening will enable to decrease the cost of electricity for the grid operator. This storage unit will cover each day c.4% of French Guiana ’s peak power consumption on average, i.e. the peak consumption of 12,000 local inhabitants.
