The project is currently owned by VPI Immingham with a stake of 100%.

It is a ccgt with cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Liquid Fuel.

Amec Foster Wheeler was selected to render EPC services for the VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase I) project. Black & Veatch was selected to render EPC services for the VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase II) project.

VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase I) is equipped with Franco Tosi Meccanica steam turbines. The phase consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 115.1MW nameplate capacity.

VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase I) is equipped with GE Power 9FA gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 260MW nameplate capacity.

VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase II) is equipped with GE Power 9FB gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 285MW nameplate capacity.

VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase II) is equipped with Toshiba steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 200MW nameplate capacity.

Franco Tosi Meccanica supplied electric generator for the VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase I).

Toshiba supplied electric generator for the VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase II).

GE Power supplied electric generator for the VPI Immingham CHP Plant (VPI Immingham CHP Plant Phase II).
