The project is being developed by New Energy Development and Univergy Solar. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

Wallaroo Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 163 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 260,000MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $170m.

The solar power project consists of 260,936 modules, each with 460W nameplate capacity.
