Description
The project was developed by Schluchseewerk. RWE Power, EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg, Energiedienst and Energiedienst Holding are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 37.5%, 7.5% and 5% respectively.
Witznau is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.35 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 250m. The project generated 230 GWh of electricity.
