Construction works on the Xiangjiaba – Shanghai HVDC Line started in 2019 and the project was commissioned in 2020.

Description

The Xiangjiaba – Shanghai HVDC Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by State Grid Corporation of China. The Xiangjiaba – Shanghai HVDC Line is a new line. The line carries alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The development of the Xiangjiaba – Shanghai HVDC Line project was approved by State Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2019 and the project works were completed in 2020.

ABB China was appointed by State Grid Corporation of China to supply the cables for executing the 800kV Xiangjiaba – Shanghai HVDC Line.
