Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line is an 800kV overhead line with a length of 1695.63km from Yazhong Converter Station, Liangshan, Sichuan, China, to Nanchang Converter Station, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi, China.

Construction works on the Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line started in 2019 and the project was commissioned in 2021.

Description

The Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by Central China Grid. The Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line is a new line. The line carries direct current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $3,713.38m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

The development of the Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line project was approved by State Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2019 and the project works were completed in 2021.

Contractors involved

ABB and Sichuan Electric Power Design Consulting was appointed by Central China Grid to supply the cables for executing the 800kV Yazhong – Jiangxi UHVDC Line.
