Yunnan – Guangdong HVDC Line is an 800kV overhead line with a length of 1953km from Jianchuan County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan, China, to Shenzhen City, Baoan District, Guangdong, China.

Construction works on the Yunnan – Guangdong HVDC Line started in 2015 and the project was commissioned in 2018.


The Yunnan – Guangdong HVDC Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by China Southern Power Grid. The Yunnan – Guangdong HVDC Line is a new line. The line carries direct current (AC) through double circuit cable.
