The project is currently owned by Huaneng Power International with a stake of 90%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline.
The project got commissioned in August 2007.

The power generated from the project is sold to Central China Grid under a power purchase agreement.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by Shanghai Turbine and Siemens.
Shanghai Electric Group supplied electric generator for the project.
Wuhan Boiler supplied steam boiler for the project.
