M&As this week: Engie North America, Jagdamba Power & Alloys, Soligent Holdings

Engie North America has acquired Infinity Renewables and its portfolio of projects.

Engie North America has acquired Infinity Renewables and its portfolio of projects.

The acquired projects total more than 8GW in capacity.

Engie North America is a subsidiary of Engie that is engaged in power generation, while Infinity Renewables is a developer of utility-scale wind projects.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in the US.

The acquisition is expected to expand Engie North America’s renewable business footprint within the US.

Jagdamba Power & Alloys and Godawari Power & Ispat have agreed to merge and operate as a single company.

Under the agreement, Godawari Power & Ispat will issue 45 new equity shares of Rs10 ($0.15) each for every 100 shares held by the shareholders of Jagdamba Power & Alloys.

Jagdamba Power & Alloys is a power generation company, while Godawari Power & Ispat is involved in power generation and steel manufacturing.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in India.

Soligent Holdings has acquired Repower America through its affiliate Solar Engine.

Formerly known as Solar Universe, Soligent will provide its equipment, logistics, engineering and finance solutions to franchisees of Repower America, while its dealers will gain access to the Repower network after the acquisition.

Soligent Holdings is engaged in the distribution of solar energy equipment, while Repower America is engaged in providing solar services.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

Soligent has engaged Marathon Capital as the financial adviser for the transaction.
