Denmark-based offshore windfarm installation and services company A2SEA has completed the deployment of 97 turbines at Dong Energy's Gode Wind 2+1 offshore windfarm in the North Sea.
The 6MW turbines were delivered by German engineering company Siemens and have been installed by A2SEA's installation vessel Sea Challenger.
The company's chief executive officer Jens Frederik Hansen said: "Turbine installation has progressed seamlessly and as planned throughout the winter.
"Thanks to the entire project team, which included our experienced crew both offshore and onshore and our partners Siemens Wind Power and client Dong Energy, we managed to deliver safely, on time, and on budget."
Being Germany's largest offshore windfarm so far, the Gode Wind 2+1 has a total capacity of 582MW. Once completely operational, the project will be able to supply green energy to about 600,000 families in Germany.
