Swiss electricity and energy services provider Alpiq has collaborated with German energy services provider GETEC to establish new joint venture (JV) company European Energy Service Platform.

The new venture will serve as a European platform for the energy market and customer service processes. Headquartered in Berlin, it will offer a wide range of services to both energy supply companies and new market participants.

Both partners will present the business model of GETEC's subsidiary GETEC Daten- und Abrechnungsmanagement in Germany, enhancing its operations to other European countries.

"The new venture will serve as a European platform for the energy market and customer service processes."

As well as GETEC’s process know-how, Alpiq’s expertise in electricity and gas trading across European markets and its global network of customers form the basis for the establishment of the new business.

The new platform will enable energy suppliers and new energy brands to offer quality services at fair prices to end customers in Europe, as well as help Alpiq’s activities in the field of white label marketing of electricity and gas products to its partners’ end customers.

It will also serve as a further building block in the integrated supply chain for automated delivery management and the online and e-commerce sales of electricity and gas products.
