Solar power equipment manufacturer China Sunergy has won a contract to supply 81MW of its poly-silicon solar cells to Solar Park Korea.
China Sunergy has secured the contract through its subsidiary China Sunergy Nanjing.
Solar cells from the company will be used by Solar Park Korea for producing solar modules and downstream applications.
Established in 2008, the South Korean firm intends to increase its power production capacity to 1.2GW from its present total of 600MW.
Solar Park Korea CEO Hyunwoo Park said: “After significant due diligence and evaluation of solar cells providers, we concluded that China Sunergy, with its ability to deliver the highest quality solar cells at competitive prices, is the best choice for our needs.
“We look forward to closely working with China Sunergy in our global expansion.”
