Power generation company Dynegy has announced its plans to raise $850m in a private placement of 8.125% senior notes due 2026 and to be subscribed to by qualified institutional buyers.

The company intends to use the proceeds to clear its outstanding dues on previously issued notes, prepay its $200m senior secured-term loan, and for general corporate purposes.

Ripasso Energy has raised Skr25m ($3.07m) through a private placement of 10% convertible bonds due 2019.

The bonds are subscribed by the shareholders with preferential rights and convertible into shares priced at Skr5 ($0.61) each.

Funds raised from the placement are intended to enhance Ripasso Energy’s business and achieve sales targets in Sicily.

The company is engaged in providing solar and Stirling engine technology services.

Energy storage company Tesla plans to raise $1.5bn in a private placement of senior notes, due 2025, to qualified institutional buyers in the US.

Net proceeds from the offering will be used to improve its financial position and for general corporate purposes.

China Huaneng Group subsidiary Huaneng Renewables has raised CNY1bn ($148.78m) in gross proceeds through a public offering of 4.48% super short-term debentures due May 2018.

The debenture has a par value of CNY100 ($14.88) a unit and interest payable from 4 August.

The company has engaged Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as the bookrunner for the offering, the proceeds of which are intended to repay loans.
