PT PLN (Persero) has announced plans to raise IDR2tn ($160m) in a multi-phase offering of ijara sukuk (debt securities).

The company plans to raise gross proceeds of IDR400bn ($30.1m) in the first phase of the offering in 2017. The net proceeds are intended to be used for developing Indonesia’s electricity infrastructure.

The company has engaged Bahana Sekuritas, Danareksa Sekuritas, Indo Premier Securities, and Mandiri Sekuritas as joint lead underwriters, while Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) has been engaged as the trustee for the offering.

As Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company, PT PLN (Persero) is engaged in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Union Electric Company (dba Ameren Missouri) has announced plans to raise $400m through a public offering of 2.95% senior secured notes due 15 May 2027.

Priced at 99.674% of the principal amount, the notes will yield 2.988% upon maturity and the interest would be paid bi-annually on 15 June and 15 December.

John Laing Environmental Assets Group Limited (JLEN) has announced the acquisition of UK-based sPower Holding’s CSGH Solar Portfolio for a purchase consideration of £12.2m ($15.7m).

The portfolio comprises four ground-mounted solar parks with a combined capacity of 33.5MW.

An environmental infrastructure investment fund company, JLEN has used its revolving credit facility to fund the acquisition.
