Spanish wind farm developer Gamesa has signed an agreement to supply 200MW to Huadian New Energy Development for a wind project in China’s northern Inner Mongolia province.
Gamesa will supply and install its G90-2.0 MW wind turbines in 2011 and 2012.
Gamesa chairman and CEO Jose Antonio Miranda said the company will continue to address rising electricity demand through the use of clean, competitive and sustainable energy sources.
The firm currently has six manufacturing plants in Tianjin and Jilin provinces, and is about to conclude the construction of its new factory in Inner Mongolia.
The company’s joint project portfolio in China totals 2,900MW.
