Spanish wind turbine manufacturing company Gamesa has secured new orders to deliver 278MW of turbines at seven wind developments across India.
These orders have been received from several customers in India and Gamesa has been commissioned to deploy a total of 139 G114-2.0MW and G97-2.0MW wind turbine units. Of these, the company will deliver 99 units of its G114-2.0MW wind turbines, with a power generation capacity of 198MW, and 40 units of its G97-2.0MW turbines, with a total capacity of 80MW.
Under the terms of the contracts, the Spanish company will be responsible for the delivery, installation, and commissioning at all seven project development sites in the country.
Of the seven orders, three contracts are awarded on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, as well as corresponding civil engineering work.
The seven projects are each scheduled to be commissioned between March and October this year. The company continues to strengthen its positioning in India, where it has been ranked as the leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the last three years.
