Oil upgrading technology provider FluidOil has acquired Ivanhoe Energy Holdings, a company that owns the licence to HTL heavy oil upgrading technology.
Ivanhoe Energy’s HTL technology will be incorporated into FluidOil’s existing Viscositor technology, to create a fully-patented, enhanced, heavy oil upgrading solution, to be called Viscositor HTL. It will enable FluidOil to consolidate its position in onsite oil upgrading technology.
DryShips, an owner of drybulk carriers and offshore support vessels, has sold its 56.079m shares in Ocean Rig UDW, a provider of offshore deepwater drilling services, to an unrestricted subsidiary of Ocean Rig.
The sale represents a 40.4% interest, with the consideration of $49.91m, which is equivalent to $0.89 per share in cash.
Ocean Rig is an offshore drilling contractor providing oilfield services for offshore oil and gas exploration, development and production drilling, with specialisation in ultra deepwater.
Addtech Energy & Equipment has agreed to acquire the 100% shares in ETS Portsmouth (trading as ETS Cable Components), a distributor of power cable accessories.
The acquisition is expected to be complete in April 2016.
Swedish supplier of industrial components, systems and services Indutrade has signed an agreement to acquire the entire shares of UK-based Fluid Controls, a supplier of control and instrumentation solutions comprising valves, fittings and pressure regulators.
Following the transaction, Fluid Controls will be integrated with Indutrade’s Special Products business area.
Oil and gas well management, engineering, construction, and consultancy company WellPerform has purchased Chris Dykes International, a well examination services provider.
Chris Dykes International will remain trading as an independent organisation.
The acquisition is expected to create synergies and enable providing complementary services that will support WellPerform’s growth strategy.
