Tata Power Renewable Energy has reached an agreement with Welspun Energy to acquire its subsidiary Welspun Renewables Energy (WREPL) for approximately Rs92.49bn ($1.378bn).

WREPL operates renewable power plants with a combined capacity of approximately 1,000MW and has 140MW of renewable power projects in advanced stages of development.

The purchaser was provided financial advice by JM Financial Institutional Securities alongside legal advice by AZB & Partners. KPMG India Private acted as the accounting and tax advisor.

Total S.A. has reached an agreement to acquire all shares of Lampiris for a consideration between €150m ($169m) and $200m ($225.3m) subject to regulatory approvals.

Based in Belgium, Lampiris is the third biggest supplier of gas, green power, and ancillary energy services such as insulation, furnace maintenance, wood and pellets for heating, and smart thermostats.

Havells India has reached a share purchase agreement with Promptec Renewable Energy Solutions.

The agreement will allow Havells India to expand its LED business segment and requires the company to increase its stake in Promptec Renewable Energy Solutions to 70% by acquiring an additional 18.82% stake.
