Nautilus Solar Canada Limited Partnership has started the commercial operations of three rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems with an installed capacity of 1.25MW in Ontario, Canada.

The company will sell solar power generated by the projects to Ontario Power Authority under a feed-in-tariff programme for a 20-year period.

Advanced Green Technologies was responsible for installation of the systems and Nautilus Solar leased the rooftop space from E&E McLaughlin LTD Warehousing.

The PV systems will produce more than 1.5 million kilowatts an hour of solar energy a year and avoid an estimated 1,000t of CO2 emissions.
