Vestas will be responsible for operations and maintenance of the turbines at the facility for the initial five years of its operations.

The project is owned by the Canadian firm Enbridge. It is connected to Brazos Electric’s Joplin substation through a 12-mile generation tie line.

A 20-year power purchase agreement has been signed with Microsoft Corporation for the power generated at the facility, according to which it will deliver electricity to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market.
